Аудио к заданию:
− Hi, Nora!
− Oh, Tom, hi! Sit down here if you want. I’m waiting for a friend, but she’s getting terribly late.
− Thanks. If I were you, I wouldn’t wait for a person who made me wait for so long.
− Oh, it’s OK. No problem. I have time and I’ve bought the tickets anyway already.
− The tickets to where?
− To the Museum of Natural History. We’ve arranged to visit a new exhibition there.
− Are you a museumgoer? I didn’t know that.
− Oh, no! I’m afraid I’ve been to this museum only once, with my primary school.
− And what made you want to go back this time?
− At the moment there’s an exhibition about endangered animals and animals that have already died out. Mainly because of people’s activity, of course: hunting, cutting down the forests, polluting the rivers, and I’m making a project about it.
− If it were about dinosaurs I would go too.
− No, it’s not. The dinosaurs’ dying out is not our responsibility fortunately. But you can’t imagine how many species disapeared in recent years.

Аудио к заданию:
Speaker A:
People should be sensible and think about their own future when they start new projects. It’s obvious to everyone that the results of our industrial activity are not always positive. We produce so much waste that everything around us is heavily polluted: the air and the Earth, the water and now even space. Don’t you know there’s lots of litter in orbit − parts of satellites and space stations, all sorts of waste and unwanted things the astronauts leave there? All these flies around the planet. Not nice, is it?
Speaker B:
We’ve been to a recycling centre and I realized what a huge amount of waste we produce. The guide enthusiastically explained to us how old that litter could be recycled and what useful things we can get from that. We also saw a film about different smart technologies that can produce energy from waste. They really work. Our governments and businesses should invest in technology more and our planet will have the chance to survive. If I had the money I would definitely spend it on this.
Speaker C:
We are going to have a special ‘Planet week’ at school. Our teacher says it’s aim is to get us to think about the environment, then behave responsibly now and especially when we grow up. At the end of the week we’ll have a special event with dancers, contests and, of course, there will be some food there. We are supposed to cook all our food ourselves and we also need to make economical and eco−friendly packaging for it. There’ll be a special contest to vote on packaging.
Speaker D:
We need to find something she’ll be really glad to get. I know next to nothing about her actually. We’ve just seen each other at a couple of parties but I remember she’s an ever supporter of the green movement. She kept talking about environmental problems all the time. And this book is just what we need I think. It’s about space exploration and space machines, but the content doesn’t matter much now. The main thing is that the book is made from recycled materials and the publishing company supports lots of ecological projects.
Speaker E:
I went to the home design exhibition and saw lots of nice hand−made things there. I even bought some accessories for myself and for friends just to give them presents and souvenirs. The most amazing thing was that lots of goods were made from waste we normally throw away. I would have never thought that a bracelet made of a plastic bottle could look so nice. I participated in a few master classes right there at the exhibition and now I make souvenirs myself. The last thing I made is a picture made from plastic, buttons and packaging material. My friends say it’s a waste of time but I enjoy it anyway!
